The weather cooperated with us (for the most part!) and we were able to race to the Castle on Whiteface Mountain. Taylor Fletcher (USST Nordic Combined / Steamboat Springs, CO) and Morgan Arritola (USST XC/ Ketchum, ID) claimed the Men's and Women's titles. Fall colors greeted the athletes at the start, but as they climbed it turned in to a battle against rain, wind and fog for the last two miles of the climb. What a sight to see the top athletes in the country put the bib on and go for it in October.
