Caitlin Patterson (UVM/Anchorage, AK) and Zach Wetherell (SLU/Canton, NY) take the top spots in the Women's and Men's 10 km. Nate Capone (Vermontville, NY) and Alyssa Likly (Pittsford, NY) claim victories in the J2 5 km.

Start times for Sunday's race:

10:30 AM J2 boys 5 km (1 lap)
10:35 AM J2 girls 5 km (1 lap)
10:40 AM J1/OJ/U23/SR men 10 km (2 laps)
10:45 AM J1/OJ/U23/SR women 10 km (2 laps)
10:50 AM Masters men and women 10 km (2 laps)
1 PM Bill Koch kids race

NYSEF XC Season Opener race on Sunday

Sunday's Season Opener race is on! Cross-Country side at the Olympic Sports Complex / Mt. Van Hoevenberg.

Online race registration will close at 10 PM on Friday 12/11.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Freestyle Technique. ESGQ/NYSSRA Series Qualifier.
5 km all J2 (boys and girls).
10 km all J1/OJ/U23/SR/Masters (men and women).

8:30-9:45 AM bib pick-up at XC Main Lodge
8:30-9:30 AM day of race registration at XC Main Lodge
(please leave enough time if you plan on registering on Sunday)
10:30 AM start, mass start by age group

Freestyle BKL kids race to follow.
BKL race registration 12-12:30 PM. 1 PM start.
$5 entry fee, day of race registration only.

Tim Burke 2nd place in biathlon World Cup opener in Ostersund, Sweden!

Congratulations to NYSEF alumni Tim Burke (Paul Smith's, NY)! Skiing strong and only missing one shot put him on the podium for the silver medal!

Thanksgiving weekend of skiing!

The NYSEF XC team and athletes from around NY were able to get some early season kilometers in over Thanksgiving weekend at Mt. Van Hoevenberg. Easy distance skate skiing, no pole skiing and specific strength relays.
