There will be a USSA L100 Technique clinic at the Olympic Training
Center in Lake Placid, Sunday, September 16th from 1 - 4 PM. The clinic will be instructed by Bryan Fish, USST Development Coach.
Attendees interested in obtaining their NENSA Level 1 coaches certification
will also receive credit towards the technique module 1.
Meet outside the OTC, located at 196 Old Military Rd, Lake
Placid, NY 12946, at 12:45 PM
This clinic will cover technique drills on foot as well as both classic and
skate rollerskis. Coaches will actively participate, so please bring the
following:

Active outdoor apparel
o
Running shoes
o
Rollerskis, boots and poles for both classic and
skate
o
Helmet
o
Bright safety shirt for rollerskiing on the
roadway
o
Water bottle

NYSEF Nordic Coaching Positions available
The New York Ski Educational Foundation (NYSEF) in Lake
Placid, NY is seeking an Assistant XC / Biathlon Coach for the 2012-2013 season
and beyond. The coaching position is full-time from late October-March and will
work with all levels of the cross-country, biathlon and Nordic combined
programs. Candidates
should have racing and/or coaching experience and be willing to travel to
regionally and nationally. Salary subject to qualifications. Interested

NYSEF Climb to the Castle Rollerski Race

WILMINGTON, NY -- The New York Ski
Educational Foundation and the Olympic Regional Development Authority announce
the 6th annual NYSEF Whiteface Climb to the Castle Rollerski Race on Saturday,
September 15 at 8:00 am. The course starts at the Whiteface Toll Booth,
climbing for 5 miles with an average 8% grade up the Whiteface Memorial Highway
to the castle on the summit of Whiteface Mountain, New York's 5th highest peak
with an elevation of 4,867 ft. The race is freestyle technique and athletes
will be greeted at the finish with a 360-degree panoramic view of the
Adirondacks, New England and Canada. Attendance is expected from the US Ski
Team, the US Biathlon Team, the National Elite Group and many top senior
and junior racers from around the country.
