Lake Placid Ski Club Awards
Lake Placid Ski Club has a longstanding tradition dating back to it's start up in 1921 - before the Olympics even came to town! We hosted our annual awards ceremony on Tuesday and presented the following honors:
Skier of the Month
Janaury - Maeve Peabody
February - Evan Greenberg
March - Will Fieroh
Elite Team - must compete at Junior Nationals and finish within 15% back of the winner
Elizabeth Izzo
Jaycee Award - most improved XC skier
Glenice Gallagher
Brad Streeter Award - best Nordic skiing attitude
Nina Armstrong
Adirondack Mountain Club - for the Nordic skier who shows the greatest proficiency in the most nordic disciplines: track skiing, telemark, ski jumping and back country skiing
