NYSEF C2C Friday update

WHITEFACE TOLL ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

New pavement was being put down this afternoon on the final mile climb to the Whiteface Mountain summit. We are hopeful that it will harden overnight and be ready to go in the morning. We anticipate being able to finish at the castle. The back-up plan is to finish at the “Lake Placid Turn” at mile 4. Start and warm-up area are at the Whiteface Toll Booth. Please read race details here

Please note: We ask athletes to organize themselves for carpooling back down the mountain after the race. We will have 1-2 NYSEF vehicles available for transportation as well. Be sure to pack a set of dry/warm clothes as the weather at the Whiteface summit can be completely different from the start area. Clothing bags can go up in the NYSEF van if needed. Please follow warm-up area instructions (volunteers wearing orange vests) – this is for your safety. Please use the porta potties at the Whiteface Toll House.
