On Sunday, the event of choice was a freestyle mass start! The day started off with with the J2 girls hammering 5 kilometers and Nina fought hard for 7th, Anna 10th, Maeve 14th, Gabby 16th and Amelia 25th. Karl showed his Nordic combined skating skills and worked up in the mass start to 16th place! Next up, it was Emma's turn to tackle her first 10 km - and a great job she did! Steady pacing lead Emma to a 20th place finish in the J1 girls catagory. The final show of the day was the Men's 15km freestyle race. Will skied into 29th place for J1 boys, despite some major calf cramping on the third lap. Coach Steve put the bib on for his Eastern Cup showing of the winter and cruised into 3rd in the SR class.
